Bermuda Maternity Photographers: Sakalis Family at Elbow Beach

Baby makes four for the Sakalis family!! I’ve said it before, but I just can’t help it — it’s been SO wonderful seeing families again now that we’re moving through the phases. And as annoying as wearing a mask is while shooting, it’s totally worth it to see so many smiling faces on the other side of my camera! I first met this lovely trio at a mutual friend’s daughter’s birthday, when all of our littles were just turning one, and so it was to see them again to celebrate their growing family!

My top tip for scheduling all shoots with kids has always been that happy kids trump ideal conditions, but as we come into summer and the beach becomes an increasingly popular shoot location I strongly advise scheduling early — where possible around naps, etc. The heat and brightness at 8.30 and 9am is much more tolerable than later in the day and often this is a huge contributing factor to happy kiddos during a session. Bonus, we are also likely to have fewer onlookers!
