It goes without saying that we’re living in scary and uncertain times. Covid-19 is taking a toll on our nerves, and life as we knew it is rapidly shifting in a response to put public health and safety first. As many of you know - because many of you are also experiencing it firsthand - small businesses are particularly vulnerable in times like these. Because they operate on small margins, a global event like Covid-19 risks putting many small businesses out of operation.

We’ve seen posts from people asking how they can help their community during the pandemic, and purchasing gift certificates is one of the best ways you can help your favourite small businesses over the next few weeks or months. For small business owners, a significant reduction in cash flow doesn’t translate to whether or not we’re getting a quarterly bonus, it’s often a matter of whether or not we can feed our families.
